NC Governor's School (Part 3!)
Summer 2024
This was my third (and sadly, final) summer as the Theatre Teacher Assistant/Counselor at Governor's School East Campus. I gained so, so much from my time at Meredith College helping guide these gifted high schoolers to their highest potentials. I learned patience, creativity, empathy, and so much more from my students, peers, and leadership. I'll miss this little slice of theatre heaven next summer!

Jane Eyre
May/June 2024
I joined Swing Nation with this one! I had the once in a lifetime experience of being the Female Swing for Jane Eyre at Theatre Raleigh! From getting to work firsthand with our director Megan McGinnis, our creators John Caird and Paul Gordon, and our leading actors Julie Benko and Matt Bogart, I was jumping for joy in the rehearsal room every day! We also got to do a live-capture of our show, as this was the U.S. premiere of the chamber version, which was so fun to see after the show was over. I will truly never forget this experience.

The Secret Garden
December 2023
I had the incredible opportunity to play Mrs. Shelley in The Secret Garden at Virginia Musical Theatre! I had the best time being one small part of such an incredible ensemble of actors. Samantha Hill and Greg Mills were stunning to watch lead our production, and I throughly enjoyed working with our director Marc Tumminelli. A gorgeous show that I would do again and again!

I’m so excited to announce that I’m going to be going back the NC Governor’s School to be the Theatre Teacher Assistant/Counselor for a second summer! I can’t wait to see what we get up to this time around and I’m grateful to get to work with such driven, talented, and creative high schoolers again.

'Night Mother
February 2023
I was the understudy for Jessie in a student-lead production of ‘Night Mother. We partnered with the ECU Counseling Center to provide suicide prevention resources and we had an informational session with a counselor. It was a good challenge to memorize so many lines as an understudy, and this is a heavy (but important) play to do.

Swing!
February 2023
I was the Assistant Music Director for ECU/Loessin Playhouse’s production of Swing! I’ve never worked behind the table, so I learned SO much being able to look at a show in a different way. I was able to take music notes for the Music Director and help the singers hone their jazz singing style. Jazz is one of my favorite types of music, so this was an incredible experience!

Bright Star
November 2022
I played Margo in ECU/Loessin Playhouse’s production of Bright Star! I absolutely adored the cast, crew, and production team, and “Asheville” is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever sung. Bluegrass and folk music are new unexpected loves of mine. I would definitely be in this show again! :)

NC Governor's School
Summer 2022
I got the opportunity to work at the North Carolina Governor’s School as the Theatre Teacher’s Assistant/Counselor! I worked with the wonderful J. Harvey Stone as the Head Theatre Instructor and the most incredible high school seniors from all over NC. They wrote and directed their own original show, as well as studied puppetry, poetry, improv, and movement.

Romeo and Juliet
April 2022
I played the Nurse in ECU/Loessin Playhouse’s production of Romeo and Juliet! I had the best time with her character and the cast & crew were phenomenal to work with. We had so much fun bringing this classic to life (with our own twists, of course).

Songs for a New World
February 2021
I played Woman 1/Singer in ECU/Loessin Playhouse’s production of Songs for a New World, and it truly was a new adventure! We did the show entirely in masks and it was streamed live each night. The music in this show is to die for (I love you, JRB!) and the cast was so much fun to work with. I would love to do this show again—but hopefully without masks…
